I grew up with this band and they are still right up there. I feel like my life sometimes is like the whipping post. Dickie Betts is a great Southern Rock guitarist .

Any fan of Greg Allman, have you heard the two songs He did with Brad Gillis (Night Ranger) on Brad's solo cd Gillbrock Ranch? It was instrumantal except for HONEST TO GOD & IF LOOKS COULD KILL that Greg sang. Those two songs are awesome

I think he held his own just fine . The band has been around forever , having gone through about 15 members . They also lost 2 members to motorcycle accidents about a year apart ( Duane being one ).

There is a show on CMT right now about Allman Bros and Skynyrd...its just about southern rock...And for those of you who like Duane his son plays in a band called Deadsy but I havent heard anything by them you might want to check it out
